Department of Psychology D.U.TH

The Department of Psychology was established in 2023, according to the Government Gazette 83/3-4-2023 vol.B, article 128, and operates administratively, while it will accept students during the academic year 2024-2025. It is based in Didymoteicho and is part of the School of Education at Democritus University of Thrace.

The Provisional Assembly of the Department, as appointed by the Rector, consists of the following members:

1. Nikolaos Makris Professor, Department of Primary Education, School of Education, Faculty of Education, Democritus University of Thrace.

2. Konstantinos Kokkinos, Professor, Department of Primary Education, School of Education, Democritus University of Thrace.

3. Antonios Sapountzis, Associate Professor, Department of Early Childhood Education, School of Education, Democritus University of Thrace.

4. Efthimios Lambrides, Associate Professor, Department of History and Ethnology, School of Classical and Human Studies, Democritus University of Thrace.

5. Vassiliki Brousskeli, Assistant Professor, Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education, Democritus University of Thrace.

Following the Government Gazette 526/1-6-2023, Professor Nikolaos Makris was appointed as the President of the Department with Professor Konstantinos Kokkinos as the Vice President.

Mr. Christos Varsamakidis, was appointed as the Head of the Secretariat of the Department.
